Československý vlčiak

The Czechoslovakian Wolfdog is a breed developed in the 1950s in the former Czechoslovakia by crossing a German Shepherd with a Carpathian wolf. The breed is known for its intelligence, endurance, and striking wolf-like appearance. It is an energetic, loyal, and strongly owner-bonded dog that requires plenty of exercise and consistent training.

At the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, a two-year-old Czechoslovakian Wolfdog named Nazgul rose to become the unofficial mascot of the event – Nova "Magic Moonlight" represents the same magnificent breed.

Nova, who is featured in the photos, was born in December 2017 and she is a wonderful representative of her breed. She is cheerful, humorous, kind, and extremely social.
